Sunnyvale’s Council Awards First Major Project of the Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program

On May 17, the City of Sunnyvale approved the award of the construction contract for the Primary Treatment Facility Package 1 Site Preparation Project to Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. This contract is valued at $6.1 million, and the project is an important element of the upgrade for the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant.

This is the first construction package in a project that includes the design and construction of a new primary treatment facility that will take raw sewage from the collection main and remove solids and sediments before moving it to the secondary treatment process. Construction is anticipated to begin in summer 2016.

Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. is a local contractor based in Santa Clara.
