Yard Piping Condition Assessment

←All Projects

Status: Awarded

Schedule: Project completion is expected mid-2025.

Construction Cost: $1M

Project Goal: This assessment will evaluate the current condition of the Plant’s yard piping, including pipe mains, valves, and any other fittings not within the public right of way related to the Plant’s water, wastewater, gas, secondary, and tertiary facilities.

Project/Construction information:

The project kicked off in March 2024. V&A Consulting Engineers started physical inspection activities onsite in summer 2024.

The yard piping evaluation will compile data to determine whether pipe assets of various types are in sound condition or whether they need to be flagged for repair or replacement as part of a future project. The scope of work includes desktop data collection, risk-based prioritization of assets to be inspected, detailed work planning (including inspection methods and logistics), field condition assessments, and a presentation of findings and recommendations for piping rehabilitation or replacement, including necessary timing and budgetary costs. These recommendations will also contribute to the capital improvement planning as part of the ongoing Master Plan Update for the Plant.
