Construction Package Awarded for CWP Site Prep Project
The City has awarded a contract to Ranger Pipelines for the Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project Site Preparation (Site Prep) project. The purpose of the Site Prep project is to prepare the Plant for multiple upcoming and concurrent projects. One of these projects is the Secondary Treatment and Dewatering Project’s Main Package which is on track for March 2022 construction advertisement.
The City received three contractor bids for a package that includes:
Relocating utilities near the front entrance and along the future location of the perimeter wall of the Plant.
Constructing a temporary maintenance building and office trailer.
Demolishing the existing Primary Control Building, Maintenance Facility and Primary Sedimentation Basins.
Paving and grading.
The Site Prep project is part of the City’s long-term capital improvement program to renovate the Plant and provide reliable wastewater service for future generations.
The Primary Control Building (shown) will be demolished as part of the Site Prep project.
